Materials & Making

The fibres are cleaned, prepared, and spun into yarn before the yarn is arranged for weaving. When colour is needed, naturally sourced dyes are used, while undyed fibres retain their original character. After winding and preparation, each warp thread is set in order on the loom. The artisan works the yarn into a double-twill weave, building the checked design through its crossing structure. The stole is then carefully finished for a balanced drape and a defined texture.
