A closer look

Materials & Making

The Angora and Merino fibres are spun into yarn and prepared in hanks. Naturally sourced dyes are used for the coloured yarn, while the natural fibre shades remain untouched. Once dried, the yarn is readied for warping and the warp threads are individually positioned on the loom. The weaver builds the fishnet structure by hand, shaping the striped layout through careful changes in the weave. The stole is then finished with attention to its open texture and neat edges.
