A closer look

Materials & Making

The yarn begins with carefully prepared Angora and Merino fibres, spun and wound into hanks for the next stage. Where colour is used, the yarn is dyed with naturally sourced materials; natural fibre shades are kept as they are. The dried hanks are prepared for warping, and every warp thread is placed in sequence. The artisan then handweaves the larger diamond pattern, maintaining an even structure across the stole. The finished fabric is checked and finished to bring out the motif and its soft handle.
