Materials & Making

The Eri silk and Angora yarn is prepared by hand from the hank, readying the fibres for the careful work of warp-making. Each thread is set individually, then woven into a double-diamond structure whose repeating geometry appears gradually across the stole. Locally sourced onion-skin dye gives the yarn its warm tone through handmade natural dyeing. The final interlacing of warp and weft brings the soft fibre blend and delicate diamond texture together in a finished fabric.
